Our extensive network of bulk fuel and lubricant depots, delivery vehicles, and Retail Service Stations is supported by a team that is an integral part of the local communities we serve.Job DescriptionAbout the role:Based at our NewcastleDepot and reporting to the Depot Manager, the Logistics Scheduler will be responsible for:Tasks and ResponsibilitiesScheduling day to day deliveries of bulk fuels from terminal to customer and company delivery sites utilising the available fleet based at the NewcastleDepotEnsuring that Lowes fleet operates efficiently by minimising operating costs through effective load maximisation, route planning and driver schedulingEntering scheduled deliveries and delivery details promptly into the Lowes database in accordance with NHVR requirementsLiaising and communicating with company drivers, customers and transport sub-contractors on a daily basisSupporting depot operations including trip processing and dispatch activitiesRemote monitoring of fuel tank levels across sites throughout service areasMeeting and exceeding customer service level requirementsSchedule trucks servicing and maintenanceManaging driver rosters and timesheetsSupport of Depot OperationsSkills Required:Previous scheduling experience considered an advantage but not essential as full on the job training will be providedA good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and national heavy vehicles regulatory requirementsAbility to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisionsCritical thinking with a focus on problem solving and solution based outcomesCapable of working unsupervised and managing time effectivelyStrong transport & logistics backgroundOperational experience is an advantageIf this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.Lowes Petroleum Service offers an attractive career and package with an excellent opportunity to be part of a local Company's rapid growth in Australia's fuel transportation industry.You must have the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role.Lowes reserves the right to close applications earlier than the nominated date.
