Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia Australian Unity Full time

Job description:

At Australian Unity, we're reimagining how care is delivered in our local communities—placing customers at the center of everything we do. As part of our Health Concierge – Scheduling Team, you'll play a vital role in helping customers live independently at home by coordinating safe, timely, and reliable care.

In this fast-paced role, you'll manage care worker schedules, respond to service changes, and ensure the seamless delivery of in-home support. Your work directly contributes to better health outcomes and empowers customers to lead vibrant, fulfilling lives.

This position is based at our East Maitland branch but we are flexible on the location for the right person.

Key accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain efficient rosters to match Care Workers with customer needs, managing daily changes, leave, and service reassignments.
  • Provide timely, professional support to customers and care teams, including handling inbound queries and service changes across phone and email.
  • Work collaboratively with local teams to forecast staffing needs, support recruitment planning, and ensure coverage for new customer onboarding.
  • Manage third-party service bookings, onboarding of new providers, and resolution of service-related issues.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with systems and processes related to rostering, payroll, training, and documentation.

Does this sound like you?

  • Scheduling or rostering experience in a high-volume environment is highly regarded – but if you have strong admin or receptionist experience, we'd love to hear from you too.
  • Strong communication skills – professional, clear and empathetic.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, manage competing deadlines, and stay calm under pressure.
  • Team player who builds strong relationships and takes initiative to resolve issues.
  • Comfortable adapting to change and navigating shifting priorities with ease.
  • Confident using MS Office – exposure to online rostering tools is a plus.

Why work for Australian Unity?

  • Additional Leave benefits including Community, Wellbeing & Deep Listening Leave
  • Hybrid Work – one WFH day per fortnight.
  • Career development with full access to LinkedIn Learning & internal opportunities
  • Staff discounts across our insurance products as well as our travel and retail partners
  • Fitness Passport – discounted access to 1,500+ gyms & facilities
  • Novated Car Leasing options through our partners Maxxia or Flair Cars
  • 14 weeks paid Parental Leave
