This Higher Education provider in a modern, forward-thinking, research-led university, ranked in the top 2% of providers in the world. The role will sit in the Division of Finance and Digital Services, including Procurement.

**Your new role**

The Contracts and Supplier Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to minimise the total cost of ownership and maximise supply chain efficiencies for the University. Utilising your expertise in contract and supplier management, you will be responsible for developing and managing constructive relationships with suppliers through monitoring and improvement of contractual performance, compliance to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), improved benefits, driving sustainable procurement initiatives and risk management and mitigation within contracts.
- This role acts as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for all contractual matters.
- Lead and mentor a team of contract officers and analysts
- Generate active engagement and cooperation among a complex Executive stakeholder environment to deliver a robust approach to procurement and commercial practices
- Implement a Contract and supplier management framework whilst managing stakeholder expectations
- Develop and enhance collaborative and beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet current and future business needs in a complex environment
- Support transformational change given the range of internal and external stakeholders, the potential resistance to change and the need for both structural and cultural change
- Keep up to date with current knowledge and or skills related to governance, contract management best practices, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and procurement practices

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience as a Contract and/or Supplier/Vendor manager is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage long-term relationships with internal senior stakeholders and key vendors including proven negotiation and advocacy skills
- Demonstrated understanding of working within a legislative and policy environment and sound understanding of technology relevant to this field beneficial.
- Overarching understanding of contract management principles, creation of frameworks and supplier performance and relationship management
- High level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the capacity to clearly and concisely articulate trend projection, analyses of key performance indicators and high-level procurement advice.
- Experience within Higher and/or Education provider very beneficial but not essential.

**What you'll get in return**

This is a fulltime, Permanent position with offices based in Hawkesbury, paying upto $117,500 including super.

The role offers fantastic internal progression opportunities, with October annual salary reviews/increases.
