**About the Role**

The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers to ensure that icare gets the best value out of our strategic relations across multiple categories. This role requires a strategic and results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.

**Duties**

It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as a **Supplier Relationship Manager**

you will:

- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Regularly assess supplier performance and compliance against agreed joint goals / initiatives.
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with suppliers to address issues and strengthen relationships.
- Establish category governance for select categories at icare (mostly indirect).
- Work with Analytics team to develop accurate spend and demand baseline and forecast data
- Collaborate with the procurement team and Business units to negotiate and draft contracts that have relevant performance measures (KPIs and SLAs).
- Develop processes and toolkits to enable business in monitoring contract compliance and addressing any deviations or issues proactively.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supplier management.
- Monitor contract performance scorecards and assist business in regular assessments of supplier performance.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain for strategic relationships.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.

**Skills & Experience**
- Advanced knowledge of NSW Government procurement framework policy
- Experience in managing key relationships, accounts or customers with focus on operational performance
- CIPS or similar certifications (Level 4 equivalent) - highly regarded
- Knowledge of the insurance industry
- Several years' experience in similar role - in managing key relationships, accounts or customers with focus on operational performance, and category management.
- Excellent stakeholder management, engagement, and communication - internal and external
- Ability to understand success measures for contracts and identify opportunities that benefit the organisation from the supplier
- Experience in drawing insights from data to successfully nurture relationships with suppliers
