**With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Planner to join our Civil & Infrastructure customer stream to work on our various projects.**:
Reporting to the Manager - Civil & Infrastructure, the Planner shall be responsible for supporting project personnel with planning, scheduling, and setting up a planning system to manage and track activities, critical contractual and construction milestones, and labour and equipment resources on site. This role will support all project related teams, including tendering, initiating and managing ongoing projects and preparing commercial notices and claims.

**About the role**:
This role will include, but is not limited to:
- Ensure safe systems of work are implemented in minimising risk to environment and health and safety for all personnel
- Conform to McMahon Services' policies, standards, procedures and relevant acts/legislation.
- Support developing site/project specific health, safety and environmental plans, and ensure implementation and improvement.
- Support reviewing and reporting incidents, HSE non-conformances and near miss investigations to prevent recurrence, and participate in incident investigations when required.
- Support managing an effective relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders.
- Support promoting a customer-focused team culture.
- Analyse client needs and address them in alignment with McMahon services' values
- Create, maintain, review, and administer construction project schedules/programs
- Support the tendering team with the creation of a tender project schedule
- Liaise with project managers and project engineers to discuss the progress of the projects and address any issues that arise
- Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g., contractors and suppliers) to develop and maintain construction project schedules
- Support project team with the preparation of reports and presentations of progress to the clients
- Support the commercial team with the provision of project schedule information used for the communication of the contract notices and claims
- Actively support the tendering and project teams with the provision of updates and information on each project
- Establish a strong relationship with the internal and external stakeholders
- Seek opportunities that enhance the project value proposition within the McMahon Services tendering, engineering and project framework.
- Support value engineering for optimisation of the deliverables
- Support identifying and addressing issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges
**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Demonstrated years of relevant industry planning/scheduling experience
- Formal or informal qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Business and Accounting
- Hold a current White Card
- Hold a current driver's license
- Have a clean police record and ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance
- Strong communication including writing reports and presenting
- Sound understanding of project management and construction methodologies
- Time management and planning
- Knowledge of the organisation and business
- Knowledge of resourcing and cost management
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management
- Methodological approach
- High Attention to detail
- Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including MS Project and Primavera
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong Problem solving
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Leadership
- Work as part of a team and individually
- A Site Management background is beneficial
