Our Finance and Operations group ensures the Fund's considerable financial, commercial, legal; investments and operational activities are timely and accurate. **Your new role**
The Operations Change Team is responsible for designing; developing; implementing; enhancing; maintaining; and supporting business solutions for the Fund's Investment and Finance & Operations (F&O) Department. The team is also responsible for understanding and managing the impact of change to Operations which is run and delivered from other parts of the Fund.
As a manager within this space you will be required to lead and implement complex change within the Operations group and work collaboratively across an allocated team of SMEs and technical expertise to solve problems and achieve best possible outcomes for our internal stakeholders and ultimately, our members. You will need to have strong knowledge of Investment Operations as you will be the SME across multiple Investment Operation domains.
Some key responsibilities for this role include:
- Implement change across the Operations group by pulling together required resources and expertise to effectively design, lead and implement changes which will enable our Investment Operations functions to run more efficiently and achieve scale.
- Provide SME knowledge at the macro Investment Operations level, across multiple domains, to ensure best practice design thinking in our business solutions.
- Manage resources, in conjunction with other Leaders, across change activities, ensuring the right people are working on the right activities.
- Lead and work collaboratively with change teams, including SMEs, technical specialists and business users to achieve desired outcomes for our stakeholders, and our members.
**What you'll need**
- A tertiary qualification in investments, business, finance, computer science, mathematics, science or engineering.
- Seasoned professional with 12+ years' experience working at a Superannuation Fund, Fund Manager, or Custodian.
- Ability to work autonomously, and be comfortable with ambiguity as and when necessary, while also having the ability to work collaboratively within and across various teams to achieve end to end business outcomes.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence to communicate with a range of different people at different levels of the organisation. Be comfortable raising a dissenting opinion or challenging previous wisdom.
- Courage to innovate and encourage new ways of thinking as well as being okay to accept and learn from failure.
