Job details
The Change Manager, reporting to the IT Program Manager, is responsible for delivering change management services for the new case management system and managing the changes arising from a range of related operational and strategic projects. Working under limited supervision, the Change Manager will lead the design and implementation of change management activities required to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of the new case management system.
The role includes providing strategic change management advice, as well as hands-on delivery of change management activities. The Change Manager will brief the members of the program control group and executive team in a timely manner on all change management matters impacting the new change management system and other related operational projects.
The Change Manager will provide expert change management advice and action in relation to the end-to-end change process from development of tailored change strategies and plans, through to execution and embedding of change. The role is responsible for the development of the internal and external communications plan for the project (s), working collaboratively with the Communications and Engagement Team.
The Change Manager will also support a change management capability uplift by providing targeted coaching for subject matter experts and change champions. The role is also responsible for preparing training needs analyses and training plans, and will support process mapping and improvement activities, particularly as they relate to the phasing of work and the delivery of minimal viable product and subsequent improvement phases.
The role is also required to support the IT Program Manager on other matters relating to the delivery of the project (s) as required.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Providing expert strategic change management advice in relation to operational projects.
- Providing specialised knowledge of change management practices and approaches in relation to successful project delivery and embedding of change.
- Undertaking the required Change Impact Assessments and developing appropriate change responses.
- Preparing training needs analyses and training plans to support system and process adoption
- Working collaboratively with key business stakeholders to develop change management documentation, materials, and presentations necessary to implement, embed and sustain planned change.
- Supporting process mapping and continuous improvement activities aligned to phased delivery programs
- Developing metrics throughout the program to assess readiness and effectiveness of change
- Managing internal stakeholder engagement and communication activities, working collaboratively with the Communications and Engagement Team.
- Representing the projects as required in communications and engagement with key stakeholders.
- Maturing change management tools and framework over the contract.
- Contributing to the planning and sequencing of change activities across a phased program of work
- Monitoring and reporting on change adoption, adjusting interventions to improve uptake and long term sustainability
- Assisting the IT Program Manager and the project(s) with other duties as required.
Criteria
Essential criteria
- Experience in planning and leading the delivery of change management activities across technology and business projects (essential).
- Proven success in delivering transformational changes, including building change adoption, enabling benefits realisation, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and communications within regulatory environments.
- Ability to operate independently at both strategic and hands-on operational level.
- Proven experience in the development, documentation, implementation and evaluation of change management strategies, tools, and artefacts.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative stakeholder relationships to support effective business change and transition, including the ability to positively influence key stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment, in cross-functional teams, drawing on diverse expertise to deliver activities and outcomes.
- Advanced communications skills with demonstrated ability to provide advice, consultation and collaboration with senior management and a diverse range of stakeholders on complex and strategic issues.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 14 months
Pay: $120.00 – $135.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
