Overview

The Ramp Services Leading Hand is responsible for performing all Ramp Service functions on a shift basis (in accordance with training and qualifications) including but not limited to:

- Baggage make up services
- Loading and unloading of cargo and baggage
- Toilet and water services
- Cabin services (aircraft cleaning and cabin dressing)
- Departure services (push back and dispatch)
- Administration services

In addition to the functions of the Ramp Service Operator, a Ramp Services Leading Hand will be responsible for the performance of a team of Ramp Service Operators within their team or who is on shift. The position is also responsible for signing off that each aircraft is loaded correctly and in accordance with the paperwork submit to the aircraft captain.

The position is responsible for achieving agreed operational targets and ensuring that completed work meets client expectations, contract requirements and Menzies standards

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Substantial experience with Menzies and or in the aviation Industry
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and can ensure compliance across ramp team procedures and policies.
- Shows accountability, initiative, and professionalism.
- Understanding of reporting and administration capabilities.
- Demonstrates a strong safety conscious to ensure this is maintained on ramp (EG history of strong PPE compliance);
- Ability to multitask, delegate, priorities workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and is calm under pressure.
- Dangerous Goods Awareness training.
- Valid Driver's License/maintain a valid license for applicable tarmac vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with key stakeholders (Ramp Supervisors, Trainers, ADS, Load Control, Ramp Manager, Customers etc)
