**About us**:

You will assist in the tracking and coordinating of the company's import, storage and distribution of various food types ensuring smooth customer supplies and efficient pallet usage. This is a great role to get full exposure to all logistics processes including systems. The key parts of this role are;

**Inventory Management**
- Track the company's materials and product inventory including stock volumes and locations
- Manage the inventory levels to ensure there is sufficient stock available for regular consistent supply and to support special events and promotions
- Ensure the balance of materials across all locations via timely movement of stock between States
- Monitor inventory turns and minimise overstocks
- Plan to move obsolete / redundant aged stock to maximise availability of working capital
- Maintain an inventory forecast identifying and making short and long term adjustments as required
- Provide routine management reporting on inventory performance
- Work closely with Sales, Operations and Finance to ensure consistent stock levels
- Provide support and management for ongoing Supply Chain projects

**Pallet Control**
- Implement best practices for pallet management
- Monitor and manage costs related to pallet control
- Regularly reconcile invoice and pallet movements
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory and pallet counts
- Work with Finance and Operations to accurately record inventory and pallet movements

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to learn, proactive can do attitude and attention to detail
- Knowledge of the Loscam pallet system advantageous
- Interest in analysis, systems, process improvement and IT (spreadsheeting and logistics systems)
- An interest in working in Logistics
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills in written and spoken English
- Understanding of logistics processes (an advantage but not mandatory)
- Located in Australia with full working rights
