Inventory Control Specialist

The Asia-Pacific region is a significant area of growth for our organization, and we are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Cannon Hill, Brisbane.

This role will involve working closely with the Inventory Manager to compile and maintain accurate records of physical and virtual product inventories via daily activities such as cycle counting, investigating claims and accounts administration within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and other records.
  • Investigate damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
  • Locate product to ensure correct product ID, conduct cycle counts regularly and assist in physical inventories.
  • Review stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorised substitutes, and other listed information with manuals, product lists, and similar references to verify accuracy of outbound orders.
  • Review files to find unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products.
  • Operate licensed and non-licensed MHE, including scissor lift to 10m.
Requirements:
  • Experience in operation of inventory systems, procedures, and operational practices.
  • Experience in planning and executing stocktakes.
  • Liaising with customers regarding inventory processes.
  • Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, product safety, quality, and legality issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, WMS, TMS).
  • Strong analytical skills.
