We are seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Sales Manager to lead and execute the sales strategy across Australia. This key leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing high-value relationships with national retailers and distributors.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve the business objectives of this well-established, family-owned company.
Base pay range
A$160,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr
This range is provided by BrightSide Executive Search. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Key Responsibilities
Lead national sales strategy and execution across all Australian states and territories.
Drive revenue growth through key national retail partnerships (Endeavour Drinks Group, Coles Liquor).
Manage distributor relationships and implement annual sales and trade marketing programs.
Oversee direct wholesale account management.
Develop sales and expense budgets in collaboration with the Sales Director and CFO.
Monitor sales performance, identify trends, and report to senior leadership with actionable insights.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to drive sales and address performance issues.
Manage and develop a small team of Brand Ambassadors in QLD, NSW and VIC.
Contribute to product launches, marketing campaigns and new product development.
Represent the brand at tastings, wine dinners and industry events.
Advise on innovation and commercial opportunities to support business growth.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in sales leadership, ideally within the wine, beverages or FMCG sector.
Strong relationships with major national retailers and distributors.
Excellent commercial acumen and a data-driven approach to sales performance.
Ability to influence, lead and inspire cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and delivering on growth targets.
Passion for wine and a willingness to represent the brand at key industry events.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across departments and bring people together.
This role will suit a highly energised and motivated individual with a genuine passion for partnering with major national retail chains and a proven ability to lead, inspire, and drive performance across distributor teams.
