Job description
CGC Recruitment has partnered with a reputable national client, a leading Tier 1 Contractor, involved in the infrastructure boom across Australia.
The company has a pipeline of projects on the Eastern Seaboard exceeding $1 billion, operating across sectors such as Roads, Rail, Resources, and Renewable Energies.
Currently, they are engaged in a complex $300 million+ Water Infrastructure project in Far North Queensland.
Due to increased workload, there is an immediate need for a Project Engineer for a 4-month contract based in Cairns.
Accommodation and a pool vehicle are provided.
This role offers exposure to a major pipeline project with a Tier 1 Contractor.
Your responsibilities will include:
Development, implementation, and monitoring of Project Management Plans
Construction planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
Design constructability and compliance reviews
Management of subcontractors including building, structural, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, and design contracts
Cost forecasting and financial management
Selection Criteria:
Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering role
Demonstrated experience in Civil or Mechanical Construction
Water Infrastructure experience is preferred
Experience with Tier 1 Contractors is advantageous
Clear and confident communication skills
Willingness to relocate to Cairns for the duration of the contract
