Amazon Web Services is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our Public Sector team in Melbourne. The territory covers a portfolio of State Government customers across Victoria, working on impactful projects involving AI, data, analytics, cloud and IT modernisation. Key job responsibilities
- Increase adoption of AWS cloud services in a defined territory
- Challenge outdated approaches to IT - Utilise internal resources to drive customer outcomes
- Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
- Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
- Create and articulate a compelling value propositions to customers
- Analyze sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement - Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
- Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
- Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5yrs+ account management and/or business development experience in the IT industry
- Experience in enterprise technology and business solutions sales
- Sales experience with a focus on quota-carrying roles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+yrs experience selling cloud and or SaaS solutions into government
- Experience working with consulting partners and system integrators
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
