We are seeking a motivated individual who enjoys working in a collaborative environment to join the Western Health Records Services team. This senior role within the team plays a pivotal role in the department and is responsible for managing our organisation's corporate records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices for information management.
Responsibilities include:
- Effective and appropriate management of the organisation's corporate records from their creation, right through to their eventual disposal.
- Ensuring that records are managed in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Privacy Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and other relevant laws.
- Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to identify records that are critical to the organisation's operations, and to ensure that these records are properly managed and protected.
- Support the organisational wide role out of Microsoft 365, particularly in relation to policy and procedure development, training, establishing classification schemes, and executing change management strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large dynamic team that supports the entire organisation and functions across all Western Health sites, Footscray, Sunshine, Williamstown Hospital along with Bacchus Marsh Hospital and Melton Health and Community Services offering Medical and Corporate records services to the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will need to hold an appropriate qualification in records or information management, in addition to having a thorough understanding of the regulations, guidelines, and standards that govern the management of public corporate records in Victoria.
