About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Business Development Manager, reporting directly to the CEO to lead our next chapter of growth. This is a newly created position based in Perth, offering the chance to play a key role in expanding a well-established portfolio at the forefront of innovation.
Your Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle across ASX-listed companies, IR firms, and dealmakers
Sell pre-designed investor media bundles including editorial, video, social, EDMs, and display
Collaborate directly with the CEO to design scalable packages that are operationally aligned
Identify white space and partner with our in-house AI division (AiGentic Labs) to develop new tools and monetisable bundles
Inherit an initial client list of mid-tier ASX companies ($75M+ market cap), giving you a warm starting point for conversations and upsells
Represent Discovery Alert at industry conferences, networking events, and ASX-related forums to build brand presence and identify new business opportunities
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our AI-native platform and thought leadership within the investor communications space
Mentor and guide junior sales team members as the company scales, fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales culture
Share market insights and best practices to help build institutional knowledge within the growing team.
What We're Looking For
In this role, you'll use your knowledge and your networks to identify and secure new contracts, build long-term client relationships, and continue to help drive our presence in the market. You're a strategic communicator who thrives in high-velocity environments. We are looking for someone who is passionate about scaling a trusted product used by ASX-listed companies, with proven ability to sell to IR teams, executives, and founders, who is driven by impact and, not just quotas.
You will bring:
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate technical capability into client value.
Ability to develop and implement innovative business development strategies.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven, able to work independently while being part of a broader team.
Strong negotiation skills to secure favourable deals and partnerships.
Experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
A deep understanding of the media and publishing industry, including digital media and emerging technologies.
