A temporary full-time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 17 December 2026.Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong promotes an inclusive model of education with the goal to cater for student diverse learning needs within the least restrictive environment and by providing a continuum of support options.The purpose of this role is to assist the school community to build the capacity of teachers and other staff, to cater for the diverse learning and wellbeing needs of students.Essential Selection Criteriaa deep personal commitment to the practice of their faith and their own spiritual formationA deep knowledge of the English and Maths Curriculum and a skilled classroom practitioner.qualifications and or studies in Special Education, or the willingness to undertake relevant studyan understanding of, and willingness to support:A deep knowledge of the English and Mathematics curriculumA range of adjustments to appropriately support students with a diverse range of needsInclusion of students with particular learning needs in the life of the schoolQuality differentiated teaching in the regular classroomAdjustments to cater for particular needs in the regular classroomSmall group and targeted individual interventions within and outside regular classcommitment to and capacity to work in a collaborative and collegial manner with staff, parents/carers and external professionalsa willingness to contribute to the life and culture of the schoolunderstanding of the Disability Standards for Education 2005 aligned to the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data.DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIASystem policies and procedures including Lighting the Way Strategic Plan, Diverse Learning Needs Policy, Pastoral Care and Wellbeing and Case Collaboration Framework ( under policies)Sound knowledge of NCCD and the CSNSW Personalised Planning Tool.The Following GENERAL CAPABILITIES Are Applicable To The RoleWell-developed interpersonal skills.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organisational skills.WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCEThis role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.POSITION APPLICATIONApplicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).
