Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Teacher Librarian to join our school community. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of students, fostering a love of literature, and promoting a stimulating library environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to develop and implement creative approaches to managing the library, engaging all students, and enhancing their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate whole-school events and programs to promote literacy and a love of reading among students.
  2. Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
  3. Cultivate highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
  4. Teach across the school K-6, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach to meet the diverse needs of the school community.
Requirements
  • Approval to teach Primary Library or currently undertaking/enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the relevant authorities.
  • Recent experience and knowledge of the expectations of a Teacher Librarian.
  • Unconditional full approval to teach; if not already held, commence the application process simultaneously with this teaching opportunity.

This is a permanent part-time position of 4 days per week, 0.800 FTE (full-time equivalent). Applicants are required to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
