**About the Role**:
TMHA is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our team and support our Melbourne Branch on a full-time permanent basis. As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth within our retail accounts space by working to increase new unit sales and market share by working closely with our existing retail customer base and actively seeking and establishing relationships with new clients. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager - Retail, this role combines strategic planning, relationship management, and technical aptitude to ensure the successful promotion and sale of TMHA's products and services.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Achieve profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in designated territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their needs and providing customised solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory, prospecting potential clients, and converting leads into sales opportunities.
- Arrange customer visits to demonstrate the performance and suitability of TMHA's products.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities. Use this information to refine sales strategies and stay ahead in the market.
- Participate in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote the company's products, sales and marketing activities.
- Give feedback to the National Sales Manager - Retail as to client response and interest patterns.
- Utilise technical knowledge for commercial use to assist in the preparation of estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy.
- Ensure technical information and advice regarding the nature and performance of TMHA's products is provided to customers.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Tertiary Qualification in Business Sales or Sales & Marketing - desirable.
- Previous sales experience within the Material Handling industry.
- Previous experience handling competing priorities, with an ability to work professionally under pressure in competitive situations.
- Excellent customer service skills & interpersonal skills.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Advanced time management and organisational skills.
