Job Overview
The Senior FIX Connectivity Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing our in-house connectivity platform and delivering key initiatives related to our Delta 1 flow. This includes gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of end-to-end delivery process, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.
Shaping the platform's architecture and driving simplification initiatives, ensuring it remains robust and future-ready.
Optimising and reducing latency of the platform to maintain its competitive edge in the market.
Providing second-level production support to ensure high availability and reliability of trading systems.
Requirements
10+ years of solid experience in low-level Java development with a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systems.
Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
Proven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses, ensuring robust and reliable systems.
Familiarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
