The Senior FIX Connectivity Engineer will play a pivotal role in enhancing our in-house connectivity platform and delivering key initiatives related to our Delta 1 flow. This includes gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.
Key Responsibilities- Ownership of end-to-end delivery process, including gathering requirements, coordinating with internal teams, developing solutions, and implementing them to support the desk.
- Shaping the platform's architecture and driving simplification initiatives, ensuring it remains robust and future-ready.
- Optimising and reducing latency of the platform to maintain its competitive edge in the market.
- Providing second-level production support to ensure high availability and reliability of trading systems.
- 10+ years of solid experience in low-level Java development with a focus on tuning for low-latency trading systems.
- Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with automated testing, including building testing harnesses, ensuring robust and reliable systems.
- Familiarity with performance testing and market data handling to optimise system efficiency and reliability.
