The Administration and Communication Officer reports to the Manager, Communication Team within the region.

About the Role:
Be the first point of contact for parents, carers and other community members wishing to enquire about departmental policy and guidelines.
Support parents, carers and community members by actively listening, acknowledging their call, accurately recording and referring them to the School Community Liaison Officers within the Metropolitan North Region.
Entering information into departmental databases.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide exceptional customer service in assisting parents, carers and other community members with their enquiries or concerns.
Listen, acknowledge and understand with empathy and compassion, via initial telephone contact with parents, carers, and other community members regarding concerns or complaints.

Teamwork, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, customer service and relationship building experience, effective communication skills and proficiency in using databases.
