The role of the Safety & Injury Management Coordinator is to provide the day-to-day case management for worker's compensation claims and return to work programs and coordinating and supporting compliance, systems and processes required for the implementation of designated programs of works, including safety management systems and initiatives relating to work health and safety.

**Reporting to the WHS Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;**
- Notification of incidents in accordance with State based legislation, nationally
- Oversight of the on-line incident reporting system and follow up of new injuries
- Creation of Workers Compensation policies for new acquisitions nationally
- On-time renewal and management of WorkCover Insurance Policies nationally
- Support the implementation of WHS strategy, systems and processes, to ensure a safe working environment for our staff nationally and internationally
- Encourage a safety culture throughout the organisation, including, supporting and monitoring safety initiatives, programs and processes that result in best practice outcomes in work, health and safety
- Day-to-day claims management for minor Workcover claims and return to work programs in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements across all Australian States and New Zealand
- Compile the monthly WHS Bulletin and Newsletter contributions in accordance with the WHS plan
- Certificate in Rehabilitation or Return to Work Co-ordination
- Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety or equivalent - _desirable but not essential_
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a Payroll or Finance department
- Previous experience in the management of WorkCover insurance and policy renewal
- Previous experience in WorkCover claims management and return to work programs
- Working knowledge of the New Zealand ACC claims system
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills including the ability to communicate with tact, diplomacy and assertiveness
- A strong client focus and a problem-solving approach with a professional manner
- Able to work professionally, cooperatively, and collaboratively across all levels
- Able to work autonomously with self-motivation
- Proven ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Planning and time management skills; able to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
