Workplace Injury Prevention Specialist

This role is a key component of the safety management framework, with a focus on preventing and minimizing workplace injuries. As a Workplace Injury Prevention Specialist, you will be working in a fast-paced environment to identify and mitigate potential risks.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Injury Management: Develop and implement injury management plans to minimize the impact of workplace injuries on employees and the business.
  • WHS IT Systems: Utilize WHS IT systems to track and manage workplace injuries, including incident reporting and data analysis.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, management, and external parties, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their knowledge and skills in workplace injury prevention and management.

About the Role:

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Workers Compensation and Premium Expertise: Demonstrated experience in workers compensation and premium management
  • Injury Management Claims Systems: Experience with injury management claims systems and reporting software
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reporting and Analytical Capabilities: Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Injury Management Practices: Knowledge of injury management practices and national legislation
