Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety professional to join our team at a prominent manufacturing site.

  • Maintenance of effective monitoring programmes.
  • Support for operational support staff, engineers and shift employees with advice on HS issues.
  • Ensure all legislative standards are included in the relevant components of the site HS plan and activities.

Development and Delivery of Health and Safety Training:

  • Develop and deliver communications and training as needed to all management and employees, effectively demonstrating a commitment to employee's health & safety.
  • Support the site Risk Assessment program by coaching employees in the risk assessment process.

Support Return to Work Initiatives:

  • Support the management of employee personal injury and illness cases including Return to Work.

You will succeed if:

  • You have sound experience in a similar HSE role in food manufacturing or mass production environment.
  • You have a Cert IV in WHS or similar.
  • You have a great project management experience in driving the delivery of safety projects as required.
  • You understand the government safety requirements and industry standards.
  • You're able to facilitate safety training programs in small or large groups.
  • You understand workers compensation and the injury management processes.
  • You are a self-starter who has a collaborative approach to health and safety.
