Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Legalvision Full time

**Practice Leader | Corporate Transactions**:
LegalVision is a market disruptor in the commercial legal services industry. Our mission is to power the success of every business by delivering legal support that is proactive, affordable and commercial, and the key way we do this is through our industry-first legal services membership.

We have assisted over 200,000 businesses across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, and we're just scratching the surface. We were named Law Firm of the Year at the 2021 and 2022 Australasian Law Awards, and a 5-Star Employer of Choice by Australasian Lawyer in 2023.

**The Opportunity**:
Our Corporate Transactions practice is booming, and we're looking for an experienced Lawyer to join the team. In this position, you will assist our growing number of clients with an exciting and broad range of transactions.

This role will allow you to partner with Australia's leading startups and scale-ups to meaningfully impact their growth. We have worked with an impressive list of startup clients at various stages in their lifecycle; from set up to acting on their pre-seed/seed/Series A/Series B rounds and beyond, their debt financing and their M&A transactions. The role will also allow you to assist some of Australia's top investors (including VC funds) with their investments in Australian startups through to their exits.

This is an opportunity to practice law differently - without the inflexibility, micromanagement and facetime of traditional law firms - whilst continuing to work on complex matters with engaged clients. As a Practice Leader, you will also be responsible for supervising a growing team of talented corporate lawyers. As such, you will demonstrate a genuine interest in training and mentoring junior lawyers and supporting their growth in the firm.
- Experienced - At least 5-7 years PQE in a reputable legal environment specialising in corporate law (ideally including M+A transactions, capital raising and/or finance/lending).
- Client champion - Passionate about providing an exceptional client experience at every touch point; cares about delivering value to clients; a natural relationship manager.
- Startup savvy - Genuinely interested in startups and innovation.
- Efficient - We are constantly finding better ways to deliver services to our clients. We want you to help us constantly strive to deliver services more efficiently.
- Collaborative - Gets a kick out of working with smart people and learning from them.
- Adaptable - Grasps new concepts quickly; goes with the flow; improves every day.
- Optimistic - Sees the best in situations; is solutions-focused; never gives up.

**The Perks**:

- Fast-paced environment with exciting growth opportunities for high performers.
- Talented and energetic teammates across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
- Up to 25 days annual leave per year, plus paid birthday leave, and volunteering leave.
- Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
- Relaxed office environment in Surry Hills just minutes from Central Station, plus flexible remote work options.

If this position sounds like your ideal next move, we'd love to hear from you

A note to recruiters: we're all over this role, so there's no need for you to get in touch. LegalVision does not accept unsolicited CVs or responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited CVs. Thanks
