Posted Tuesday 3 June 2025 at 2:00 pm Expires Sunday 22 June 2025 at 1:59 pmField Supervisor position available in Tully, Far North Queensland, for a family farming business that has been in operation for over 75 years - Mackays Group (THE TRUSTEE FOR GOLDEN BANANA SERVICES TRUST).
There is 10 positions available.Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 4:40pmThis position is classified as Level 5 under the Horticulture Award 2020.
All positions have on job training andpotential for upskilling.
The positions available are on Banana and Papaya farms and the duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Identify crop health issues; adjust and fix as required and report any major issues to the Farm Manager.

• Monitor crop for insect and disease presence, and soil moisture levels and report findings to the Farm Manager.

• Assist in monitoring and managing the performance of field team in collaboration with the Farm Manager.

• Provide training and instruction to field team.

• Participate in training and workshops
• Ensure personal protective equipment is always worn and maintained correctly by yourself and the team.

• Comply with and actively support relevant Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental instructions and legislation.

• As well as any ad hoc duties within the competency of the employeeStart Date: Looking for employees to start in June for a minimum of 9 months
