
Principal Workforce Planning Officer

The role As the Principal Workforce Planning Officer, you will contribute to supporting state-wide operational and strategic workforce planning tools including the WorkMAPP workforce planning software. The WM program aims to provide a unified, effective, and efficient workforce management and planning tool, supported by a consistent workforce planning methodology across Queensland Health (QH). Key responsibilities include:
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior Departmental management and other internal customers of the Queensland public health system regarding workforce planning and reform issues that have state-wide implications for the Department of Health and State's health system.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the WorkMAPP software administration manual to maintain the WorkMAPP software in a functional state for all other QH users.
- Design, develop and publish contemporary training resource materials to support utilisation of the WorkMAPP software.
- Monitor WorkMAPP user data entry to ensure the WorkMAPP software is being operated in compliance with the WorkMAPP user guide and QH Information Systems Security Standards and respond accordingly if policies and procedures are not met.
**The successful personYou will have**:
- Demonstrated experience in using QH state-wide operational and strategic workforce or planning tools including WorkMAPP, DSS Panorama, Budget Planning Tool (BPT) and SAP Establishment.
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and interpret workforce data using a range of reporting or analytical methods and tools such as MS excel.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and engage with a range of department of health and hospital and health service stakeholders across varied levels and positions.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of health workforce, finance and establishment planning.
