Overview:
Gallagher Bassett (GB) is Australia and New Zealand's premier third party claims administrator. We manage claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured organisations. We are part of the leading global risk management and insurance group Arthur J Gallagher & Co.

As Claims Excellence Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the highest level of business performance is achieved through the development, refinement and continuous improvement of claims operational processes.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Technical Claims, you will deliver sustainable business outcomes through the promotion of best practice claims process management and continuous improvement.
This role provides a unique opportunity to provide specialist support and grow your career in an exciting direction. In our expansion as a start up and disruptor to the current market, you will lend your experience to build and grow the technical expertise, operations and processes across the function.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead and drive the development, refinement and continuous improvement of claims processes;
- Develop and maintain the process repository and drive user engagement
- Engage with business stakeholders in the development, execution and implementation of processes and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of processes within teams, with a view to improve operational controls and performance;
- Promote the delivery of high-quality customer service towards all parties involved in the technical aspects of a claims process within acceptable timeframes and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in workers compensation and claims management;
- Strong workers compensation legislative and regulatory knowledge
- Experience in developing and implementing claims processes and driving continuous improvement (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail;
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders;
- A strategic mindset and approach to work;
- A strong sense of team and collaboration;
- A resilient attitude.
