**About the Role**

This role is for a Team Manager in the CASEA, Early in Life Mental Health program. This is a permanent part time (0.8EFT) position which is based at Atherton Hub in Oakleigh.

This opportunity is open to the following classifications:

- Psychologist Grade 4: PM1 - 4
- Occupational Therapist Grade 4: HR9 - 12
- Social Worker Grade 4: HR25 - 28
- Speech Pathology Grade 4: HR13 - 16
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 5: NP51

The CASEA Team manager position is a senior specialist clinical mental health role. This role will provide senior clinical leadership to the team; continued service delivery/implementation of the CASEA program within the Southern Metropolitan Region (as described by DEECD); supervision, mentoring and role modelling of professional and clinical practice to the Team clinicians; contributing to the development and refinement of robust evidence-based models and systems of care, research and evaluation programs; monitoring of outcome measures and clinical KPIs.

The CASEA team manager will work across three large and quite different service systems - Early in Life Mental Health Service, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) and the Catholic Education Office Melbourne. It is an expectation that the role will also promote good working relationships and a greater understanding between the three agencies.

The key components of the role include:

- Quality coordination of a multidisciplinary team of health professionals (in partnership with the team Consultant Psychiatrist)
- Provision of team leadership that ensure effective group cohesion, resource allocation, goal orientated coordination of effort, and resolution of complex team issues in partnership with the Community Mental Health Service Manager
- Provision of group interventions to children and parents identified in collaboration with education staff and working in collaboration with education staff to deliver these interventions
- The identification and assessment of children and parents for suitability for group interventions, undertaken in collaboration with education staff.
- Provision of therapeutic support to the 'system' around the young person in a collaborative and reflective partnership with other involved agencies.
- Primary and Secondary Consultation
- Education and Training to education staff
- Facilitation and coordination of appropriate referrals following assessment to relevant mental health service providers (primary care, public or private mental health service sector), where CASEA group interventions are deemed inappropriate.
- Deliver Mental Health Care services to meet the set budgetary and KPI targets

**About Us**

The Monash Health CAMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA) Program is a joint initiative of Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS), the Department of Health, Department of Early Education and Childhood Development (DEECD) and Catholic Education Office of Melbourne (CEOM). Designed as an early intervention program, the CASEA program is conducted in school settings with children identified as being at risk of developing serious behaviour problems including Conduct Disorder. The focus of the program is to up skill teachers in child and parenting group programs that they will deliver in partnership with CASEA staff.

You bring a sound understanding of legislation relevant to youth mental health, including the _Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022_ and the _Children & Young Persons Act_. Your strengths lie in conducting thorough assessments, formulating diagnoses, developing and implementing collaborative treatment plans, and managing complex cases, including crisis interventions and risk assessments.
