As a mental health clinician, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families by working with our specialist early intervention mental health program.

About the Role
  • This is a sought-after opportunity to provide general, specific, and therapeutic interventions to children and families in primary schools.
  • You will work collaboratively with a small, experienced, and friendly team to deliver individual, small group, and classroom-based interventions.

The CASEA team works with children, their families, carers, teachers, school welfare teams, and broader systems to provide a range of interventions. This includes supporting our intake, assessment, and short treatment (iACT) team at times.

This is a unique chance to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment as part of the Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS). We are one of the most comprehensive mental health services in the Victorian public sector.

About You

  • Are passionate about children, adolescent, and youth mental health.
  • Enjoy working with people who face complex issues and have a commitment to family inclusive practice.
  • Have great skills in care coordination, family work, and therapeutic, evidence-based interventions, as well as presentation skills.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Qualifications and relevant registrations in at least one of the following: Nursing (Div. 1), Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A friendly and professional attitude.
  • Excellent engagement, relationship, and therapeutic skills.

  • Nurse - RPN 3 Year 1-5
  • Psychologist - Grade 2 year 1-4
  • Social Worker - Grade 2 Year 1-4
  • Speech Pathologist - Grade 2 Year 1-4
  • OT - Grade 2 Year 1-4

Early in Life Mental Health Services provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people, and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region and offer a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options.
