We are seeking applications for aPharmacist(Grade 2) to join our Pharmacy team on a casual basis.
In this role you will provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including storage, selecting, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medications, medication chart review and provision of drug information.
Responsibilities
Review and monitor patient medication therapy and orders for safety and efficacy, considering specific patient conditions and health status.
Prepare, label and dispense medications for patients in accordance with physicians' prescriptions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to dispensing of drugs and narcotics and the maintenance of required records.
Maintain appropriate records of dispensing and manage systems that charge or credit for medications and treatments.
Provide drug information to caregivers and patients regarding medications and their proper use and monitoring.
Ensure medications are available, properly procured, prepared, stored and maintained.
Qualifications
Qualified and registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Recent experience as a Pharmacist, with knowledge to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in a hospital setting.
Experience with pharmacy computer systems and strong clinical knowledge.
Commitment to patient care aligned with the organisationc Mission and Values.
What we offer
Salary: $59.49 to $68.78 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation
Casual position with the option of salary packaging a portion of earnings each pay period
