Role

The Grade 1/2 Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of quality pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients. Grade 1 and 2 rotate between the clinical & service area rosters. On clinical duties they provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients and in the service areas they provide pharmacy support to the dispensaries and production. Pharmacists, Grade 1 and 2, provide education and medicines information services to patients and other health care professionals and participate as active members of multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide quality pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Rotate between clinical and service area rosters; deliver pharmaceutical care and pharmacy support as required.
  • Provide education and medicines information services to patients and other health care professionals.
  • Participate as an active member of multi-disciplinary teams.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • Current Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligible for immediate registration, and able to practice independently. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Award and demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the Award.
  • Ability to apply current and practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development relevant to areas of practice.
