**About the role**
The Team Leader Training Delivery (Fire) is a senior training officer within the Capability and Training Unit (CTU), managing the training program for tactical fire skills and fireground leadership courses within NPWS. The role leads a team of full time and part time trainers to plan, deliver and assess vocational education and training (VET) to support the growth of organisational capability related to fire response.
In addition to teaching and assessing, the Team Leader Training Delivery (Fire) contributes to the review, enhancement and validation of training programs and capability enhancement initiatives including making recommendations for operational and business improvement projects.
**About You**
You are an experienced and motivated training professional with a strong background in firefighting operations and a keen interest in vocational education. You are passionate about designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that align with operational priorities—particularly in fireground leadership and emergency response.
Holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant fire qualifications, you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working with geographically dispersed teams. As a proactive and adaptable leader, you make sound decisions, support and motivate others, and are committed to continually developing your communication and collaboration skills to build effective partnerships.
**Essential Requirements**
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) or higher-level TAE qualification
- A current Australian driver's licence
- Willingness to travel in a light aircraft
- Possess current and relevant qualifications necessary to perform operational duties aligned with the training courses overseen by this role.
