We are seeking a skilled Interpreting Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting services to women and their families at one of Australia's leading hospitals.

The role involves providing NAATI certified Vietnamese language interpreting services, participating in the development of culturally sensitive services, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting for women and their families in a healthcare setting
  • Translating brief messages and checking translations as required
  • Creating a safe and respectful cultural space for patients and their families

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and NAATI Interpreter certification (Level 3)
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records, search engines, data collection systems, telehealth platforms, video conferencing software, and Microsoft Office 365
  • Demonstrated expertise in health interpreting and understanding of healthcare contexts for women and newborns
