The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks to ensure the efficient and timely operation of the HR function. To maximise organisational and employee performance, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the General Manager, People & Safety to ensure best practice HR activities are delivered in a culturally appropriate manner and align with all organisational and legislative requirements.

In collaboration with the greater Human Resources and Safety team, the HR Coordinator will be responsible for the end to end recruitment function, ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-discrimination, Diversity and Inclusion practices and all other Fair Work legislative requirements.

With a strong people centred approach to the HR function, the coordinator will assist Managers and the Executive Team to develop and monitor employee learning and development plans to foster a learning culture across the organisation. The position is responsible for role modelling respectful and culturally appropriate communication across the organisation and delivering relevant, accurate and supportive people management practices.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Demonstrated ability to perform human resource functions to a high standard and a clear understanding of associated statutory requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and organisations associated with providing services to Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia Inc.
- Completed Qualification in Human Resources or associated field.
- Minimum experience of two years in Human Resource role.
- Ability to think critically about your role and implement change management and process improvements.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with employees and external stakeholders and to handle enquiries with diplomacy and tact.
- Good computer literacy, especially using Microsoft products.
- High-level accurate data entry skills.
- Proven ability to work with mínimal supervision and within guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Possess understanding of, and demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of equity and diversity and WH&S.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in working with Aboriginal people and organisations.
- Experience in other Not-for-Profit organisations.
- Experience in managing mediation and conflict resolution processes.
- Knowledge of and experience working with Enterprise Agreements and providing advice in line with organisational Agreements.
