**The Role**
The Air & Space Surveillance Control Branch is looking for an EL 1 Assistant Director Business Operations to join their Branch Executive team. The team is responsible for providing administrative and business support to the Director General and has overarching responsibility for the business management of the Branch.
The EL 1 Assistant Director Business Operations works closely with and provides support to the Director of Business Operations and is primarily responsible for human resources and strategic workforce management, monthly resourcing reporting, management of the Branch's operating budget and oversight of the financial reporting activities.
The position is accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex workforce management and planning work. They will exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide strategic workforce and policy advice to the three business units within the Branch.
They will be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders' expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development of their work area.
**About our Team**
The Air & Space Surveillance and Control Branch is responsible for the management of all aspects of equipment acquisition, integration and provision of necessary through-life support of assigned space, surveillance, control and navigation materiel capabilities.
The Branch Executive Team provides administrative and business support to the Director General, Air & Space Surveillance and Control and has overarching responsibility for the business management of the Branch.
