**Placement Manager**

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Placement Manager to join Marsh in Sydney. This role has principal responsibility for casualty broking and management of Placement in the Northern Region and Nationally as required.

**We will count on you to**:

- Develop and maintain effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers as appropriate
- Design, develop, implement, manage and coordinate effective risk management programs for clients
- Possess a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management and insurance needs to ensure that the client's risk management and casualty insurance programs continue to meet with their needs, requirements and expectations, as well as insurance market practices
- Plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies as required
- Consistently meet and exceed expense and trading profit budgets
- Maintain and develop insurer relationships with London and overseas markets as required to advance the interests of the Australian client portfolio
- Develop strong relationships with practice leaders, client service teams and other internal placement teams
- Take a proactive approach to all aspects of account broking management and services delivery to clients and appropriate
- Possess a thorough understanding of all casualty lines of insurance which the Company offers to its clients and to keep abreast of all new technical and product developments
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents and Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Workers Compensation and other relevant legislation
- Adhere to Marsh Compliance and Transparency Standards
- Develop new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources including product development
- Proactively support all company sponsored revenue generation initiatives

**We would like you to have**:

- Tier 1 FSRA Compliance
- Associate member of ANZIIF or ACII
- Admission as a Qualified Practising Insurance Broker by the National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- London market experience in Liability to foster strategic placements for large risk management clients
- Prior experience in Complex Casualty, specifically in bushfire, rail, mining, construction, manufacturing, retail and property owners, with a particular ability to manage placements across regions
