IT Service Operations Manager

What are we looking for?

A new opportunity to become our IT Service Operations Manager is now available n Melbourne.

You will be responsible for our service desk operation, end user compute support and continuous improvement of supporting technology and processes. Inclusive in this role is the management of vendors and third-party suppliers, actively participating in IT projects, and a strong focus on customer experience.

A bit more about the duties and responsibilities in this position:

- Continuous improvement of customer experience
- Maintain established service level agreements for IT support and implementing programs to achieve objectives
- Managing and coordinating IT Service Staff
- Ensuring communication/escalation procedures are established, followed and maintained
- Management and control of assets including IT hardware and other assets assigned to employees
- Primary contact point for IT Operation
- Monitoring and management of expenses
- Ongoing training and education for continuous professional development
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of emerging technologies
- Participating in corporate change control procedures and methodologies
- Ongoing project work

To be successful, you will need strong skills in people leadership and stakeholder relations, together with proactively driving a collaborative and engaged culture, whilst building strong relationships throughout the business.

It would also be great if you had the following skills and experience:

- Sound understanding of service operations, IT Helpdesk, Desktop and Infrastructure services
- Superior technical issue resolution skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Focus on end user experience
- A self-starter
- Leadership capability
- Ability to manage and coach staff and prioritise work
- An understanding around strategic planning and delivery of continuous improvement
- A team player
