About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced government affairs professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Government Relations for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). This role will serve as a key representative of the business to government stakeholders, responsible for developing and executing high-impact government relations strategies that advance our operational and reputational goals.
As a senior individual contributor, you will lead government engagement across the ANZ region, navigating complex regulatory environments and providing expert policy counsel to internal teams. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence, but without direct people management responsibilities.

Lead on crafting and executing the Government Relations strategy for our growing business in Australia and New Zealand
Working in close alignment with partners in our Policy Development & Research and Public Engagement teams, as well as local leadership and other business partners, on our broader public policy strategy
Represent DoorDash in meetings with political stakeholders including policymakers and administrative authorities at the federal, state, and municipal levels
Represent DoorDash at regulatory hearings, including by providing testimony
Coordinate with trade groups and industry associations, and drive and participate in thought leadership opportunities
We're excited about you because...
You have a Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, economics or related field.
At least 8 years' experience in government relations, public policy, political advisory, regulatory affairs, or similar roles—preferably in the tech, digital services, transportation, or regulated service sectors.
Excellent understanding of ANZ's political, legislative, and regulatory processes.
Be able to identify emerging public policy and political risks and lead response strategies to protect the company's interests and reputation..
Comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
Exceptional communication and persuasion skills with the ability to synthesise complex information for internal and external audiences.
