Job Title:

We are seeking an accomplished government affairs professional to assume a key role in our ANZ operations.

This position will serve as a primary liaison between our business and government stakeholders, responsible for devising and executing high-impact government relations strategies that advance our operational goals.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the Government Relations strategy for our growing business in Australia and New Zealand
  • Collaborate with partners in Policy Development & Research and Public Engagement teams, local leadership, and other business partners on our broader public policy strategy
  • Represent our interests at meetings with political stakeholders including policymakers and administrative authorities at the federal, state, and municipal levels
  • Participate in regulatory hearings by providing expert testimony
  • Cultivate relationships with trade groups and industry associations, driving thought leadership opportunities
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, law, political science, economics or related field
  • At least 8 years' experience in government relations, public policy, political advisory, regulatory affairs, or similar roles—preferably in the tech, digital services, transportation, or regulated service sectors
  • Strong understanding of ANZ's political, legislative, and regulatory processes
  • Able to identify emerging public policy and political risks and lead response strategies to protect our interests
  • Adaptable and comfortable operating independently in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills to convey complex information to internal and external audiences
