**About the role - 8 month Contract**

The Risk & Compliance Lead's main priorities are to build risk awareness, understanding and maturity through EnergyAustralia's Technology teams. This role provides comprehensive first line of defence &oversight of Technology risk identification, recording/tracking, control testing, and remediation, and works closely with the Enterprise Risk team to ensure consistency of approach and reporting across the organisation. Additional responsibilities include:

- Audit coordination; engaging with both internal and external auditors and Group Security
- Compliance management including general compliance administration duties
- Analyse risk likelihood and consequence ratings and ensure they are appropriate and updated as remediation/mitigation activities are completed
- Maintain a central register of controls (key and non-key) that technology manages in support of our risk management and regulatory obligations
- Work with project management on a periodic basis to ensure Portfolio planning activities are prioritised around key risks within technology.

**What we're looking for**:
You will have strong risk and compliance experience in similar complex organisations to EnergyAustralia. Additionally, you will have some of the following expertise:

- Experience in risk, compliance, and governance related roles ideally with Utility (electricity, gas, water) industry exposure
- Knowledge of risk and risk control assessment and frameworks including ISO31000, ITIL and ISO27001
- Thrives in a dynamic, task orientated and fast-paced environment whilst meeting set deadlines/schedules
- Exceptional attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills and trouble-shooting skills
- Commitment to your team colleagues by displaying a highly collaborative and supportive style
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation
