Job Title: Risk Compliance Leader

The role entails overseeing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across the board. As a seasoned professional in operational risk and compliance, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice to senior leaders, embedding a strong risk culture, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders to provide expert guidance on regulatory matters, risk assessment, and compliance strategies.
  • Develop and implement robust risk frameworks, enhancing overall risk resilience.
  • Embed a strong risk awareness culture through targeted education and engagement initiatives.
  • Lead the identification and prioritization of risk issues, ensuring swift and effective mitigation.
  • Support the business in maintaining and applying a unified risk management framework.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, providing actionable insights and guidance for implementation.
  • Review member communications, disclosure documents, and marketing materials for compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise to inform decision-making and regulatory interpretation.
  • Contribute to project risk oversight, ensuring initiatives align with compliance obligations.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant qualifications such as RG146, Diploma of Superannuation Management, or equivalent certifications are highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in operational risk and compliance, preferably within superannuation or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements across super, managed investments, and IDPS.
  • Advanced ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory reforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and support senior leaders and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to delivering client-focused outcomes.
  • Organised, analytical, and confident navigating ambiguity and driving continuous improvement.
