**The role**
- ALS Geochemistry is looking for people to fill roles within the Sample Preparation section at our
- **Zillmere** prep warehouse. These positions involve routine tasks in the preparation of mineral samples for analysis and attention to detail and the ability to follow and stick to instructions are vital.

These are casual entry level positions across day (6am-2.15pm), Afternoon (2pm-10.15pm) and Night (10pm-6.15am) shifts Monday to Friday and full training will be given to successful applicants.
- You'll need to wear PPE for all tasks and strictly follow procedures. We have a clean-shaven policy if you have to wear dust respirators and we also perform routine drug and alcohol testing under our Fit for Work guidelines.

Progression through the analytical laboratory is available for those whose skills develop in a more academic direction, including opportunities both nationally and globally.**The day to day**
- Responsibilities include:_
- Handling rock, core and drill chips
- Operating sample preparation equipment - crushers, pulverisers, splitters and weigh scales
- Performing routine manual/labouring tasks
- Numerical sorting and labelling of samples
- Wearing mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Working as part of team to achieve daily production targets

- Have the ability to follow set procedures
- Have a high attention to detail
- Willing to work as part of a high-performance team with a focus on quality & safety
- Be reliable, physically fit, and prepared to carry out repetitive manual tasks
- Have good verbal and writing skills - especially number recognition
- Willing to work in a dusty, noisy high/low temperature environment
