About Australian Lions Assistance Dogs
For over 40 years, Australian Lions Assistance Dogs has been changing lives by providing trained Assistance Dogs to people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, living with type 1 diabetes, and Veterans with PTSD. The organisation is embarking on its biggest expansion in history: redeveloping its National Training Centre to triple the number of dogs trained annually.
The Role
The
Capital Campaign Manager
will lead the next phase of the organisation's
$8M Capital Campaign
, securing major gifts and corporate partnerships to drive a landmark project. Reporting to the Development Director and working closely with the CEO, Board, and Campaign Committee, this role is central to delivering a capital campaign that will shape the future of Lions Assistance Dogs. This position is flexible (0.6-0.8 FTE) and can be based in South Australia (preferred) or Remotely (within Australia).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver the campaign end-to-end, ensuring the $8M target is achieved.
Build and manage relationships with high-value individual and corporate donors across Australia.
Develop tailored proposals and stewardship plans that align donor motivations with campaign priorities.
Identify new major donor, foundation, and corporate prospects.
Coordinate with external consultants, ensuring strategies are executed effectively.
Provide clear, concise updates to internal stakeholders at critical points of the campaign.
About You / Qualifications
Proven experience in capital campaigns, major gifts, or high-value fundraising.
Demonstrated success in securing significant gifts from individual donors, corporates, or foundations.
Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to align donor motivations to organisational priorities.
Excellent relationship management, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
Professional presence, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive donor materials.
Ability to work autonomously in a self-directed role, while also collaborating with a national team.
Willingness to travel regularly (interstate donor meetings and campaign events).
Current driver's licence.
