
Manager, Operations Control Centre

**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
The Manager OCC is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Operations Control Centre (OCC) and Integrated Operations Centre (IOC). The primary focus is on load control, movement control, compliance, and rostering.
The Manager, OCC is required to adapt a strategic approach to ensure efficient and effective coordination of turnarounds, compliance with industry standards, and optimal resource allocation.
The purpose of the role is to develop, lead and direct all aspects of the Operations Centre while developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders. The Manager, OCC is the central authority for establishing and modifying policies for the operational control process and has overall responsibility for the performance and the delivery of the OCC department.
**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the National OCC team for schedule integrity and legal compliance.
- Ensure full legal compliance within the operation and employ sound economic decision-making processes.
- Implement robust procedures to enhance safety and minimize disruptions.
- Manage the National Operations Control Centre and network operations for effective disruption recovery
- Manage a satisfactory balance of On Time Performance (OTP), interdependency and customer service aligned with the company's business goals
- Lead the National OCC cross-functionality in designing developing and implementing performance goals
- Maintain and build cost effective rosters for all National load control and Operations teams that ensure the balance of operational demands and compliance relevant EBA's
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality of processes in Load Control
- Analysis of Key Stakeholder feedback, audit information, reports and Load Control team member feedback to identify areas of opportunity - Ability to make recommendations and appropriate actions
**OH & S Responsibilities**
- Compliance with the dnata Safety and Environment Policies
- Compliance with legislative Health & Safety requirements
- Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
- Conduct work in accordance with dnata's Health & Safety Management System;
- Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided;
- Participate in emergency drills and/or evacuations
**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Minimum of 4 years working in Load Control and/or Aviation management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills well suited to building business relationships with existing and potential customers and managing all internal as well as external stakeholders at all levels;
- Demonstrated record of achievement in building and fostering relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Demonstrated business acumen including, financial and budget management and a need for analytical skills and experience in driving cultural change and continuous business improvement to meet and exceed customer and business expectations and targets;
- Demonstrated experience in data management and organization
- Ability to deal with problems resourcefully
- Possess/maintain a valid driver's license and other Airport required identification/authorisations.
- Be available to work a variety of schedules including weekends if required
- Attention to detail, Strong communication skills & Proven organisational skills
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft office
- Knowledge of WHS requirements
**DESIRABLE CRITERIA**
- Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and ideally with Load Control/Movement and or Aviation Management experience but not essential;
- Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with the ability to lead, translate, implement and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards and legislative requirements, a passion for safety and security is essential
- Ability to operate at all levels and get into detail one minute and move to a more strategic level the next.
- Engaging and building the trust of customers and other key stakeholders with a strong desire to delight customers and delivering service excellence whilst balancing the challenges of being performance driven.
