We are on the hunt for an Information Technology Officer. This position will contribute to the
proactive delivery of service that helps to ensure the availability and reliability of Riverina
Water's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure.

**The** **position**
Playing a key role in delivering proactive services, the Information Technology (IT) Officer ensures
the organisation's IT infrastructure remains available and reliable. They work to maintain and
improve service levels, minimise issues with daily operations, and foster effective communication
with relevant stakeholders to keep everything running smoothly.

Riverina Water enjoys a favourable reputation as a satisfying and rewarding workplace,
demonstrated by a relatively low staff turnover. The Hammond Avenue site is the location of
practical and modern workplaces including the administration, workshops, works depot, store
and main filtration plant. All buildings and vehicles are smoke-free workplaces, and staff
welfare through work health and safety and other provisions is a priority.
The commencing salary for this position is $79,133.60 to $89,065.08. In addition, we contribute
5.5% additional superannuation (17% superannuation from 1 July 2024), and employees may
salary sacrifice or make personal (non-tax deductible) contributions for additional super.
Our working conditions include a 70 hour, 9-day fortnight, with opportunities for professiona l
development and access to long service leave after five years. Additional purchased leave
options are also available.

**Purpose of Position**
Contributing to the proactive delivery of services that help ensure the availability and reliability of the
organisations Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. The Information Technology Officer ensures
that service levels are maintained and continuously improved, problems with the day-to-day delivery
of services are minimised and effective communications with relevant stakeholders are maintained.
**Key Responsibilities**
Perform ITIL governed IT Service Desk functions. Prioritise, monitor, and action, incoming support and
services requests. Perform 2nd level End User Computing requests and escalate 3rd level requests to
peers or vendors as appropriate. Inform the user submitting the request of progress. Resolve issues and
verify solution effectiveness through testing and user interaction.
Provide, maintain, and support 2nd level End User Computing services including but not limited to
desktops, printers, and mobile devices. Ensure devices are secure, managed and fit for purpose to meet
the organisation's needs.
As guided by the manager, procure end user computing accessories, devices, subscriptions,
consumables, maintain & update stocks, and the IT asset records.
As guided by the manager facilitate and contribute to the support, administration and continuous
improvement of infrastructure monitoring, security activities, and checks on components such as servers,
storage devices, network components and end user computing devices. Ensure that components are
