Geospatial Coordinator Role

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Coordinator to lead our team in delivering high-quality spatial services. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of Council's Spatial Information Plan.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Geospatial team to deliver excellent services to staff and the community.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Council's Spatial Information Plan.
  • Coordinate geospatial systems projects, policies, procedures, and support services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on geospatial matters.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers associated with Council's geospatial applications.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geospatial Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Substantial work experience relevant to the role, including geospatial data management, systems administration, and key spatial software applications.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
