About the Role
As the Teacher for Solid Pathways-STEM you will be part of a small teaching team lead by a Deputy Principal. As part of this teaching role you will:
- have an understanding of the role of STEM and how it impacts the lives of students
- write materials and resources that support high quality teaching practice, instructional leadership and school community partnerships.
- work with other team members to plan, design and write teaching and learning material and resources for use in various educational environments.
- Liaise with Central Office, team managers, directors and other stake holders to meet the targets and outcomes as identified in state wide frameworks and processes.
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to developing performance and knowledge of teaching, learning and school improvement.
- The duties of this position involve communication with and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families.
- It is not mandatory for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person to fill this position.
**N.B. Interested teachers should consider the followiing**:
- Current Queensland Teacher registration is required for this position
- An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, and culturally-responsive pedagogies, would be highly desirable.
- This is a Central Office project, however the position is located at the Warilda Conference Centre, Wooloowin, unless otherwise determined.
- The role may require teachers to attend and supervise students at extra curricula activities.
