**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The Access Strategy Manager is expected to take a broad approach to their activities, working in a cross-functional team to identify reimbursement challenges, evidence generation needs, and assess commercial viability.

In this role, you will also track and analyse key HTA trends that are likely to shape PBAC decision-making and that of other relevant payers. You will advise our Company on HTA Policy issues that impact access to medicines and our Company's pipeline, lead evidence generation activities to support our policy positions, and develop white papers or other submissions, as required.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO**:
**Early New Products**:

- Contribute to commercial viability assessment and early revenue forecasting in collaboration with the early new products (ENP) Commercial lead.
- Provide strategic advice and pricing assumptions for pipeline products to ensure consistency of approach across the local business.
- Lead development of preliminary reimbursement strategies and make recommendations to the Market Access Leadership Team (MALT) on timing and allocation of Market Access resources.
- Lead the early identification of policy shaping and evidence generation needs, and contribute to early stakeholder engagement plans to support these activities.

**Access acceleration & HTA Policy**:

- Provide input into clinical trial design based on a strong understanding of critical success factors for reimbursement.
- Analyse the Australian access and payer environment to identify key strategic issues and decisions that impact launch planning for reimbursed access.
- Maintain internal awareness of PBAC precedents and HTA policy trends to ensure continuous improvement and PBAC submission excellence.
- Generate evidence that quantifies the broader benefits of our Company's innovations, for inclusion in PBAC submissions and to support HTA reform.
- Lead the development of our Company's position on HTA Policy issues (e.g. discount rate, RSA, decision risk) and contribute to relevant Medicines Australia working groups.
- Monitor the impact of our policy activities, mainly how our Company's evidence and messaging are reflected in the public discussion of policy reform.

**Stakeholder engagement**:

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external HTA stakeholders and participate in affiliated workstreams across internal and external working groups (e.g. Oncology Industry Taskforce), as required.
- Build our Company's reputation and relationships with key HTA customers across the DOH, PBAC, evaluation groups and academics, policymakers and clinicians.
- Educate our stakeholders on HTA policy topics and messaging, including upskilling cross-functional colleagues at our Company.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Qualifications and experience
- A suitable undergraduate degree in life sciences and/or health economics.
- A post-graduate degree in health economics, epidemiology or health sciences would be an advantage.
- At least 3 years' experience relevant to market access/health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including strong knowledge of local regulations and processes, is desirable.

- Excellent interpersonal effectiveness, project & time management skills, and expert attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience engaging and building trusted relationships with key external stakeholders including patient organisations, professional bodies and scientific institutions.
- Commercial aptitude in translating and communicating the consequences of HTA policy developments for our Company and other stakeholders.
