Overview

Responsibilities
  • Channel Strategy development: Support and deliver the BFT Access strategy by identifying the most relevant and profitable market access strategies, including distributors, fabricators, and installers.
  • Collaborate with the GM, Marketing Manager, and other stakeholders to proactively prepare and implement the Access Channel Sales Plan, including product launches, promotions, partnerships, deployments, and other sales initiatives.
  • Relationship Management: Build, develop, and manage relationships with prospective and existing customers within the Access Channel to drive collaboration; gather feedback on customer needs, market trends, and product improvements using Salesforce CRM; advise on forthcoming product developments and promotions; ensure end-to-end customer service from quotation to order payment.
  • Performance Tracking: Grow the business to achieve defined sales targets and profitability margins; define KPIs to assess channel partner performance; establish a customer review process and ensure regular visits and transparent reporting via Somfy tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Market Research: Analyze competitor strategies and market positioning; gather insights from customers and partners to inform positioning and product strategies; stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Training and Support: Provide services to customers in the Access Channel on product use and maintenance; develop onboarding programs for new channel partners; ensure prospective customers are engaged with samples or catalogs and informed about pricing and availability.
  • Team Management and Development: Manage and support Sales Representatives and Business Development Executives within the Access Channel; provide day-to-day guidance, development, and performance feedback; recruit and retain staff as needed; lead by example and uphold company standards."
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Analyze sales data and trends to create accurate forecasts; prepare regular reports to inform planning and decision-making; report on quantitative and qualitative performance within the Access Channel.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for channel activities with the marketing team; conduct cost-benefit analyses of channel strategies and initiatives.
  • Other duties: Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations; perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales and territory management within a technical consumer durable channel with a proven sales track record.
  • 3 years of sales team management.
  • Education: Degree qualification.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ambitious, self-driven, results-oriented with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders; comfortable networking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize complex objectives, and meet tight timelines.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and under pressure; self-motivated and collaborative.
  • Discretion with confidential information; professional business etiquette.
  • Technical product understanding and terminology; proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce).

Travel Requirements
  • Frequent domestic travel and occasional overseas travel.
